Job Description Summary

We’re seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Cat Colony Care Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is essential in maintaining the health and well-being of our cat colony by ensuring a clean, safe, and enriching environment. This position is ideal for someone who loves animals, is attentive to their needs, and values creating a sanitary and organized habitat for them.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

· Colony Husbandry:

  • Sweep and mop floors in cat housing areas to maintain a clean environment.
  • Provide daily meals by feeding wet food and replenishing dry food.
  • Refresh water bowls to ensure constant access to fresh water.
  • Empty, wash, and refill litterboxes for optimal hygiene.
  • Replace any soiled bedding with fresh, clean linens to promote comfort and cleanliness.

· Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Observe the general well-being of the cats and promptly report any health or behavior concerns to the Nursing Supervisor.

Qualifications:

· Experience with animal care, particularly with cats, is preferred but not required.

· Attention to Detail and commitment to maintaining a sanitary and organized environment.

· Communication Skills to effectively report observations and any concerns to the Nursing Supervisor.

· GED/High School diploma required

Additional Information:

· This role requires physical activity, including lifting and cleaning tasks.

· Candidates should be comfortable working independently.

· Must be able to lift >25 pounds with minimal assistance.
