What you will do
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer of PGIM Multi Asset Solutions (PMA), we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantitative Risk Analyst to join our dynamic PGIM Multi Asset Solutions (PMA) team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing risk management frameworks that involve asset allocation, hedging, risk management, pricing, insurance capital management, and structuring for our offshore international reinsurance transactions, with a focus on markets in Japan, the US, and Bermuda.
This position requires a deep understanding of quantitative finance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to develop and implement sophisticated risk models.
This role is based in our office in Newark, NJ. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely and/ from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. This position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring weekly basis 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
What you can expect:
Asset Allocation:
Develop and implement quantitative models to support risk management of strategic and tactical asset allocation.
Perform in-depth analysis of global financial markets, with a focus on Japan, US, and Bermuda.
Oversee investment portfolios to achieve the desired risk-return profile in line with investment our client’s strategy.
Hedging and Risk Management:
Design hedging strategies to mitigate risks associated with reinsurance transactions.
Monitor and manage market, credit, and operational risks within the investment portfolio.
Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of adverse market conditions on the portfolio.
Pricing and Structuring:
Develop and implement pricing models for reinsurance products and transactions.
Work on structuring deals to optimize risk and return profiles under various .
Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams to ensure accurate pricing and risk assessment.
Insurance Capital Management:
Analyze and manage the capital requirements for the reinsurance business.
Develop strategies to optimize the use of capital in line with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
Monitor and report on capital adequacy and efficiency in the face of regulatory changes.
Financial Modeling:
Develop and maintain complex financial models to support asset allocation, hedging, pricing, and risk management decisions.
Implement and validate quantitative models, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Collaborate with IT and data teams to enhance data quality and model performance.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
Conduct performance attribution analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of investment and hedging strategies.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and their impact on the investment and reinsurance landscape.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Chief Risk Officer, portfolio managers, and other team members to align investment strategies with the client's objectives.
Liaise with external partners, including investment banks, asset managers, and consultants, to gather market intelligence and best practices.
Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organizatio
