Position Title: Software Engineer (Front End)
Position Location: Guilford, CT
Summary:
The Software Engineer (Front End) is responsible for the design and development of our User Interface Front End software for the Device Software platform that powers our portable MRI. The primary developments will begin with Front End software integration with product design input requirements and interfacing to the core software of the device. The individual in this role will partner effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver key tools and systems that bridge the gap between various domains, including device hardware sequencing, data processing, core applications and cloud-based service interfaces.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement reliable software for fault-intolerant applications (e.g., medicine, scientific computing)
- Develop Front End software for complex medical imaging products
- Follow modern, efficient, elegant, and scalable code
- Follow Hyperfine’s Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines to meet quality and regulatory requirements
- Add/update those items in the SCM system repository (e.g., GitHub), and provide clear messages of changes
- Productize software in conjunction with cross-functional input from Commercial, Clinical, Quality, UX designs
- Partner effectively with cross-functional teams (Cloud, Imaging, Diagnostics, Core, and ID) to ensure timely completion of project deliverables
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned
Knowledge & Skill:
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Communicate status of all responsible projects both in writing and verbally
Education/Experience Required:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years’ experience designing and building software applications
- Experience with new product development
- Experience with software revision systems, (e.g., git and continuous integration systems)
- Experience in fast paced, agile and highly collaborative environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UX tools is a plus (e.g., FIGMA)
- General knowledge of websocket is a plus
- Experience with React-type architectures and/or the Python language is a plus
Physical Demands:
- This is an onsite role at Hyperfine’s facility in Guilford, CT
- Able to travel when required, and operate tools of the trade (company issued laptop, correspond with team members on your cell phone, etc.)
- Available nights, weekends, and holidays when needed
