The Opportunity: 

Ever-expanding technology like IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence means that there’s more structured and unstructured data available today than ever before. As a data engineer, you know that organizing big data can yield pivotal insights when it’s gathered from disparate sources. We need an experienced data engineer like you to help our clients find answers in their big data to impact important missions from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence.   

 

As a big data engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. You’ll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, Agile environment. You’ll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.

You Have:   

• 3+ years of experience with Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or Ruby

• 3+ years of experience designing and developing databases and other applications on classified Intel Community networks

• Experience developing custom scripts, procedures, queries, and user interfaces for SQL databases on classified Intel Community networks

• Experience developing and communicating technical specifications of databases to technical and non-technical audiences, including entity relationship diagrams, data schemas, and data systems architecture

• Knowledge of available Intel Community cloud systems and services on classified networks, including for those services available on the Commercial Cloud Enterprise (C2E) program

• Ability to develop and maintain interfaces between data resources, such as databases or data lakes, and analytics software applications, including Tableau, PowerBI, Kibana, or Grafana

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• Bachelor’s degree

  

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience developing and communicating metrics in the Intel Community

• Experience designing, testing, and managing software tools to support assessment and metrics production on large, aggregated datasets

• Experience developing and deploying APIs for secure application access to data stores

• Knowledge of how Intel Community collection and analytic products are aligned to intelligence needs and questions

• Knowledge of the Intel Community’s responsiveness to requirements and changes in intelligence priorities

• Knowledge of the Intel Community’s reliance on the variety of intelligence collection disciplines

 

Clearance: 

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
