JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Pennsylvania State University, college of Libraries is seeking to hire part-time libraries support.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patrons with a welcoming smile
- Make referrals to other library services as appropriate
- Answer basic directional questions
Operational:
- Shelve returned library materials
- Pull requested library items
- Attend on-going reference and library trainings for professional development
- Promote and engage with Common Services Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility initiatives and learning
- Circulate library materials
Required Skills:
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to keep a schedule
- Excellent communication skills
Hours:
- Availability Monday – Thursday 9am – 5pm. Minimum of ten hours per week with the opportunity to work up to twenty-four hours a week.
- Hours may vary during holidays and summers.
- Hourly wage it $12.00/ hour.
