Senior Sourcing Manager – Professional Services
Expedia has an opportunity for a high energy Senior Sourcing Manager to join our global corporate services procurement team, based in one of our US offices in Seattle (HQ) or Austin.
By building positive relationships with key stakeholders, you will be responsible for procurement of professional services including management consulting, auditing, tax, accounting, treasury, financial/fintech and insurance services for Expedia across the globe.
Using your procurement experience, deep category knowledge and skill, you will work directly with the business and stakeholder groups at all levels. You will need to develop and establish procurement strategies, proactively improving supplier performance and the commercial landscape. In addition, you will be expected to deliver effective supplier negotiations, sourcing projects (such as RFx), savings tracking, added value and contract management across our business.

What you’ll do:
- Act as a trusted adviser, and subject matter expert, leading Professional Services procurement across all Expedia business units, globally.
- Be a strategic partner to business partners, creating category strategies where appropriate driving business performance in collaboration with our Sourcing Operations team.
- Lead and own a full range of projects from transactional to complex, within your categories, spanning across Expedia. These projects often involve working across multiple business units and stakeholder groups, as well as multiple geographies, to develop one Expedia solution wherever possible.
- Partner with stakeholders to build, moderate to complex service requirements and scope, assist with identifying vendors, manage the entire RFx process, provide vendor evaluation framework and recommendations on vendor selection.
- For individual projects build, communicate, and implement work plans and timelines. Identify the required supporting efforts, dependencies, or barriers, as well as track and report on progress/issues.
- Deliver sustainable value by leading negotiations with vendors on the scope of work, commercials & contract, which will involve working with legal, finance, tax and other internal departments.
- Build and maintain vendor relationships to maximize value and to deliver a best-in-class supply chain solutions across your categories.
- Support the continuous development and evolution of the Professional Services vendor database, using data to drive efficiencies and effective vendor management.
- Act as the point of contact for critical issues to business partners, legal, finance, tax, audit.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
- 7+ years’ experience in Professional Services procurement and/or Strategic Sourcing.
- Exceptional knowledge of core procurement fundamentals.
- Great teammate and able to work independently while prioritizing your own time and work.
- Strong communication skills; written, verbal and interpersonal.
- Experienced in working in a global business with multiple brands.
- Experienced in redlining contracts and familiarity with key contract terms is essential.
- A leader in establishing and maintaining business partner relationships, including influencing skills are essential and rising to the challenge when looking after demanding business partners.
- Capable of working with abstract concepts and presenting simply and clearly to others.
- Strong problem-solving, lateral thinking, project management, planning organizational and interpersonal skills.

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $155,000 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
