Job Description

Role Mission

The Vice President, Visual – Gucci Americas is responsible for defining and driving the visual merchandising strategy and execution across the Americas region, ensuring the consistent translation of Gucci's global creative vision into exceptional client experiences and commercially impactful environments.

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Define and execute the Americas Visual Merchandising strategy in alignment with Worldwide creative direction and regional commercial priorities;
  • Serve as the key liaison between Global Visual teams and the Americas organization, ensuring effective communication and localization of global initiatives;
  • Translate seasonal concepts, campaigns, and brand priorities into compelling and elevated client experiences across all channels and formats;
  • Drive innovation and continuously identify opportunities to elevate the visual presentation and enhance the client journey.
  • Regional Visual Excellence
  • Provide functional leadership and guidance to Visual Directors, Visual Managers, and Visual Merchandisers across the Americas, ensuring consistency of execution and adherence to Gucci standards;
  • Establish best practices and operating frameworks to support efficient and agile visual execution across diverse markets;
  • Ensure exceptional execution of window installations, in-store displays, animations, pop-ups, and special projects;
  • Maintain strong partnerships with field teams to ensure visual strategies are adapted to local business needs while preserving brand integrity.

Corporate Visual Production & Special Projects

  • Lead and develop the Corporate Visual Production and Special Projects team, overseeing the execution of major brand activations, store openings, renovations, and high-profile initiatives;
  • Partner with Store Planning, Construction, Facilities, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to Gucci's creative standards;
  • Oversee production timelines, resource allocation, and operational processes supporting regional visual initiatives.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Retail Operations, Client Engagement, Marketing & Communications, Events, and Store Planning to ensure alignment between product strategy, campaigns, and visual storytelling;
  • Collaborate with Retail leadership to support business performance and optimize commercial opportunities through impactful visual presentation;
  • Participate in seasonal buy reviews and strategic business discussions to ensure visual priorities support overall commercial objectives.

Talent Development & Organizational Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing visual organization across the Americas;
  • Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, collaboration, and accountability;
  • Develop succession plans and strengthen organizational capabilities across the Visual function;
  • Promote continuous learning and ensure teams remain current on industry trends, competitive activity, and evolving luxury client expectations.

Financial Management & Operational Excellence

  • Oversee departmental budgets and ensure efficient use of resources across projects and initiatives;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and return on investment of visual activations and capital expenditures;
  • Drive operational efficiencies while maintaining the highest standards of luxury execution;
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and operational guidelines.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Design, Marketing, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred;
  • 12–15+ years of progressive experience in Visual Merchandising within luxury retail, fashion, or premium consumer brands;
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale visual organizations across multiple markets and business formats;
  • Proven success managing visual production, store environments, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives;
  • Strong understanding of luxury retail, merchandising, client experience, and brand storytelling;
