Role Overview

The Billing Specialist is responsible for reviewing and managing the entire invoicing process for all customers. The position requires an individual who is incredibly detail-oriented and can efficiently process invoices in a fast-paced environment and industry.

Responsibilities

• Verify that all information is present on the packing lists per customer billing requirements.
• Identify and resolve all invoicing issues, questions, inconsistencies, or missing information on packing lists before invoicing.
• Prepare and submit invoices.
• Ensure all appropriate freight charges are applied before invoicing.
• Manage, receive, and invoice all direct ship orders.
• Assist with answering and routing incoming phone calls as needed.
• Review all invoices to verify they have the proper approvals and are processed correctly.
• Performs additional duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ year of multi-site accounts payable experience in the same or similar industry.
• Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
• Experience with distribution-specific ERP systems.
• Experience with distribution-specific ERP systems and invoicing customer portals.
• Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].
• Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
• Detail-oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
• Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lifting to 50 lbs., carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
