The Director of Compliance Advisory will report to the Chief Compliance Officer and will manage a team of compliance professionals who will primarily be responsible for promoting compliance awareness and ensuring that business partners receive regulatory guidance and support for new product launches, new initiatives, issue remediation, complaints management, and compliance training. The ideal candidate will have prior supervisory experience, an understanding of the functionality of a range of consumer financial products, and a firm grasp of consumer laws and regulations, including UDAAP, ECOA, TILA,  FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA and GLB/CCPA and others. This role will also provide a unique opportunity to partner with departments across Marlette and to be involved in all facets of the Best Egg platform as it continues to build and grow.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Compliance Advisory Officers
• Ensure direct reports adhere to quality standards, appropriately prioritize assignments, and other performance management responsibilities.
• Partner with Learning & Development to promote compliance awareness and ensure training requirements are met.
• Collaborate with business leaders in the development of new products, programs, and services.
• Collaborate with the business to develop risk assessments for new products and initiatives
• Contribute to the development of organizational strategies
• Always be prepared to pivot for the unexpected development, the fast-moving idea, and the creative solution.

Requirements

• A minimum of ten years of consumer financial services compliance experience
• Deep knowledge of closed-end secured and unsecured consumer loan products and open-end products.
• Superior organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment
• The ability to collaborate effectively and propose alternate solutions
• Must work well both independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• CRCM preferred
