Position Overview:
You will own the end-to-end Inspection and Quality Control operation. You will lead our a small growing Quality Control team who hand-inspect millions of products a year, and you will work directly with suppliers to ensure that every products meets our standards.
You’ll be responsible for hiring, coaching, and holding your team accountable - from daily huddles and productivity goals to performance management. You will be both a coach and an inspector. You will set clear standards for your team, conduct visual inspections yourself, coach technique, audit work, and balance throughput and quality. You will be comfortable with SOPs, checklists, training, and AQL-style audits for final verification. You will monitor customer feedback, lead process improvements, and work closely with our Customer Service, Fulfillment, Inventory Planning, and Manufacturing teams.
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and expand our Product Inspection and Quality team, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Own daily Inspection operations
- Perform inspections as needed to ensure standards are met
- Track and deliver against KPIs (product defect rate, return rate, supplier performance)
- Monitor customer feedback and translate insights into product and process improvements
- Partner cross-functionally with Customer Service, Fulfillment, Inventory Planning, and Manufacturing
- Identify and implement quality assurance systems and process improvements
- Manage supplier relationships to enforce product quality standards
- Drive continuous improvement projects to support 2–3x growth
- Ensure budget targets are met
- Complete other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in quality control, manufacturing, or related field (fast and high-volume visual inspection experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Interested in learning new skills
- Experience leading teams in fast-paced, high-volume environments is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to priotize effectively and to stay calm under pressure
- Familiarity with quality control systems or tools
- Thrives in a hands-on role
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
Additionally, you must be:
- At least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Comfortable with basic math
- Able to lift up to 49 lbs
- Ability to move over/under/around shelves and other objects
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Full use of hands and fingers to perform tasks
