POSITION PURPOSE
Our dynamic office environment is looking for a personable and motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our fast-paced office and become a valuable member of our team!
In this role, you'll be trusted to provide clear instructions and follow-up to patients regarding their treatment and care, properly prepare patients for oral surgery, assist an experienced Board-Certified Oral Surgeon during a multitude of procedures, demonstrate knowledge and experience in Dental Assisting by keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently, and always provide excellent patient experience!
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Equipment and Instrument Maintenance: Prepare and maintain clinical equipment and instruments, ensuring they are prepared for each procedure.
- Surgical Support: Assist the surgeon during surgeries, seat patients, and take vitals. Maintain competency in appropriate dental assisting and anesthesia monitoring.
- Patient Care Advocate: Provide clear and concise pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients. Maintain excellent patient care standards.
- Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate records/charting in compliance with established standards. Ensure consent forms & treatment plans are completed correctly.
- Compliance and Confidentiality: Adhere to OSHA and regulatory guidelines and ensure all sensitive information is appropriately protected.
- Interpersonal Relations: Be a positive asset to our team and help strengthen the best in all team members.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Accept special projects and additional responsibilities as needed, demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Safety Adherent: Follow strict safety guidelines and procedures according to OSHA and office standards.
- Interpersonal Dynamo: Maintain a positive rapport with patients and team members through excellent interpersonal skills.
- Detail-Oriented: Work efficiently to ensure accuracy with patient records and files.
- Flexible Worker: Adapt to changing job duties and work schedules as needed.
- Multi-tasking: Be able to easily adapt to competing priorities and multiple patience
- Clear Communicator: Effectively communicate verbally with patients and staff in a clear and professional manner.
Previous Experience/Education:
Our practice is currently seeking an experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of dedicated experience working within an Oral Surgery Setting.
