Summary of Job Duties:

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a qualified Research Technician to support multidisciplinary biomedical research focused on understanding the mechanisms of human disease.

This role is ideal for candidates with prior academic laboratory experience in one or more of these areas who are motivated to contribute to high-impact research in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a science field PLUS three (3) years of related lab experience.

Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

• Perform research experiments including laboratory animal maintenance, behavioral studies, surgical procedures, tissue collection, and data analysis

• Maintain accurate records of all procedures and experimental data

• Operate and maintain equipment for monitoring small animals; manage lab supply inventory and place orders as needed

• Assist with training and supervision of lab staff and students, ensuring adherence to approved protocols and proper laboratory procedures

• Other duties as assigned
