About the role
We are looking for an experienced commercial credit professional who will lead all aspects related to commercial credit decision making including account approval, credit line/ portfolio management management and credit risk mitigation. The position will report to the head of risk management.
This will be a hybrid role based out of our New York office with an in-office requirement of 3x a week.
What you'll do:
- Underwrite high-balance credit requests using financial and bank statements, funding/ investment history, commercial credit bureau data and macro/ industry data
- Lead a continuous evolution of our internal credit rating/ scoring process that will be primarily automated
- Monitor the credit quality and performance of our portfolio and our risk management policy/ process and provide periodic insights to senior management
- Refine and develop our risk appetite, credit provision and credit policies continuously to reflect changes in our portfolio, macroeconomic conditions and credit performance
- Monitor the efficacy of our credit risk management policies and enhance them to improve risk/ reward trade-offs
- Execute on our credit insurance management strategy and periodically evaluate program performance
- Work closely with senior leaders and business partners on implementation of risk management initiatives
We're looking for:
- 5+ years of holistic commercial card portfolio analytics experience including credit performance and quality, yield/ profitability, provision management etc.
- 5+ years of commercial credit underwriting, ratings or related functional experience (collections, portfolio monitoring, financial planning etc.)
- Hands-on experience in development of credit risk management policy and expertise in credit approval framework and policy
- Experience in leveraging internal portfolio, macroeconomic, industry and external data in the development of risk appetite frameworks, credit policies and forward-looking forecasts
- Very strong analytical experience
- Commercial card credit risk management is a plus
- Strong partnership skills and proven success in working with business partners in sales, client management, product and operations
For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.Pay Range$74,250—$165,000 USD
