We are looking to add a Quality Control Inspector (Receiving) to our team. In this position, you will work closely on an integrated team of Cesium managers, engineers, and other cross-functional personnel. We are looking to add a Quality Control Inspector (Receiving) to our team. In this position, you will work closely on an integrated team of Cesium managers, engineers, and other cross-functional personnel. Key responsibilities:
- Executing Quality Control processes associated with purchased product, manufacturing operations, and customer quality requirements.
- Incoming inspection of raw materials and components using LCR meters
- Inspection of printed circuit boards / assemblies (PCB / PCBAs), verification of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) components, and cable assemblies.
- Inspection of mechanical hardware using calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, and CMMs.
- Generate documentation of inspection activities using electronic information systems, written logs, and labels.
- Maintenance of monitoring and measuring equipment, maintaining the supplies, integrity, and cleanliness of QC inspection areas.
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvements of inspection methods, inspection plans, and internal quality procedures and processes.
- Assist in data analysis and reporting of department metrics as required.
- Assist with the control and disposition of non-conforming material (MRB).
- Drive scheduling of day-to-day processes; ensure timely and accurate turnaround.
- Assist with the continuous improvement initiatives.
- Other QC duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in a technical field preferred. H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years relevant work experience or training required. 5+ years related experience without Associate degree required.
- Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with microscopic visual inspection.
- Experience with mechanical measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with ERP and PLM software systems.
- Proficiency with reading engineering documents, CAD drawings, and detailed work instructions.
- Strong digital, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a positive and collaborative manner.
Preferred attributes include:
- Experience in the aerospace or electronics industry
- IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 certification
