Project Overview:

Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) is an exciting and growing business unit that serves customers in the semiconductor, electric vehicle, and datacenter markets. Pending award, Bechtel will serve as the Owner Representative for this confidential client located in New York.

 

Job Summary:

In this role, you will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for a project’s life safety system engineering aspects. You will lead design, development, modification, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes. Your recommendations will resolve technical issues and ensure complex requirements are met according to design standards.  #LI-MJ1

 

Major Responsibilities:

• Plans and conducts independent scope of work and technical specifications for life safety system design and field investigations on large size projects or assignments in support of a global business unit​ 
• Leads the design, development, modification and evaluation of telecommunication components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)​ 
• Coordinates and interfaces as directed with the day-to-day technical work of personnel​ 
• Develops conceptual designs for Life Safety Systems engineering projects or projects having specialized or unique requirements​ 
• Supports preparation of estimates, staffing needs and schedules​ 
• Interviews client personnel to determine their needs, develops scope for cost estimates for services and participates in proposal preparation and presentation​ 
• Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and supports implementation and assists with performance reporting​
• Interprets new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data​ 
• Coordinates with client representatives, as directed, to obtain their approval of Life Safety Systems aspects of the work​
