THE ROLE  We are currently looking for a Fabrics Research and Development Intern which will support the Senior Fabrics Research and Development Specialist
WHAT YOU’LL DO  ·       Source and develop new materials based on design requirements, also develop new supplier and sourcing base·       Proactive mind for sourcing with creative sourcing·       Understand the fabric and yarn and fiber type inherent properties·       Well communicate with suppliers and merchandising team for product requirements, pricing and quality·       Provide counter solutions in terms of quality, e.g. color matching·       Monitor the development; work with counter parts for the right timeline·       Develop the seasonal / trend board present to design team·       Source new materials / suppliers based on Brand requirements·       Ensure fabrics meet Brand’s expectations in terms of quality and price·       Day to day coordination with suppliers and developers on seasonal developments·       Ensure seasonal materials are fulfilled in time and in right quality
WHO YOU ARE    ·       The ideal candidate must be studying or already holds a degree in Fashion Design, and/or a related field·       Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)·       Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment·       Highly organized and deadline-oriented with ability to prioritize·       Strong attention to detail·       Ability to multi-task in a team-oriented environment
