Job Summary
Reporting to and under the general supervision of the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Director of Career Services, the Student Success and Career Analyst performs varied administrative, technical, analytical duties in support of the day-to-day operations of the Career Center and broader Student Access and Success (SAS) division as needed. The incumbent serves as a liaison and key resource for students, staff, faculty, employers, alumni, campus partners, and community organizations in diverse and complex matters of policy, procedure, career development practices, data systems, and employer engagement by providing information, historical background, and rationales. The incumbent is responsible for handling multiple work priorities, completing work assignments and projects, meeting established deadlines, and contributing to department-wide and division-wide initiatives. The position frequently supports strategic planning, program assessment, employer relations infrastructure, fiscal management, and student employment operations. Assignments require discretion, independent judgment, accountability for results, and regular interaction with sensitive and confidential information.
Key Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor's degree and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs. Two years in a direct administrative support capacity preferred. Requires thorough working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and Google Suite. Ability to use a broad range of technology and systems for the capture, maintenance and reporting of key data required. Experience with using PeopleSoft, web publishing software, and Common Financial System Data Warehouse preferred. Related experience in the public sector and/or higher education is highly preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred.
Salary and Benefits
This is a full time, temporary, non-exempt position. The CSU Classification Step Range for this position is $4,799 - $6,992 per month (step 1 - step 20). Step placement will be determined based on relevant qualifications and professional experience. Step placement upon appointment is not expected to exceed Step 1 ($4,799 a month). Reappointment to this position is dependent upon the individual's performance as well as administrative and budgetary considerations. The university reserves the right to terminate this appointment earlier than the scheduled expiration date.

In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
