Job Description

Job Responsibilities

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis leads the School’s financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes, providing critical insights to inform decision-making and long-term strategy. This role oversees the annual budget cycle, departmental budget management, and multi-year strategic planning, including financial modeling of reserves, endowment spending, tuition, capital planning, and strategic initiatives. Lead and mentor a team of analysts, fostering engagement and professional growth while partnering with leadership to strengthen the School’s financial health. Drive the team’s ability to deliver deeper business insights through enhanced analysis, reporting, and strategic support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field required
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, or strategic finance roles.
• Demonstrated success leading FP&A functions in complex, multi-unit organizations - preferably within higher education, nonprofit, or mission-driven settings.
• Proven experience managing and developing high-performing analytical teams.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional planning and decision-making processes.
• Commitment to mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of excellence and engagement.
