Mission Graduates increases the number of K-12 students in San Francisco’s Mission District who are prepared for and complete a college education. Founded in 1972, Mission Graduates provides a wide range of afterschool, in-school, and summer programs helping to establish college education as an expectation and goal for every child. Each year, Mission Graduates reaches over 3,600 low-income children, youth, and families in San Francisco, emphasizing college as a means to achieve economic equity and strengthen the fabric of our community.
Position Summary: We are seeking a dependable and caring support staff member to assist with our after-school supper program and student dismissal procedures. This role is essential in ensuring students are safely supervised, meals are distributed efficiently, and dismissal runs smoothly as students are signed out to parents and guardians.
Key Responsibilities & Primary Duties

Key Responsibilities & Primary Duties
After-School Supper Support
- Assist with meal setup, distribution, and cleanup
- Ensure students receive meals in an organized and timely manner
- Maintain a clean and safe eating environment
- Follow all food handling and safety guidelinesTrack meal counts and support required documentation
Student Dismissal & Gate Support
- Support safe and orderly student dismissal at the school gate
- Verify parent/guardian identification as needed
- Accurately sign students out according to school procedures
- Maintain clear communication with families and staff
- Help ensure student safety during high-traffic dismissal times
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a school or youth setting preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Bilingual (preferred but not required)
