What You Will Do

The Controls & Diagnostics Systems (CDS) organization is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Senior Engineer to join the Engine System Software organization. The qualified candidate will be responsible for:

• Decompose system level and customer interface requirements into software requirements and designs within an Agile Framework
• Conduct iterative prototype testing and reviews of requirements and designs
• Perform software verification within the Agile Framework including regression analysis, test case development, test script development and evaluation of results
• Participate in Agile ceremonies
• Participate in software planning, estimating and tracking per Agile framework
• Potential to serve as Agile Scrum Master and/or part of the Development Team

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• 5 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree and 3 years of experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required after day one.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Solid track record of achieving results in a technical role
• Ability to work in a dynamic, high pressure engineering environment
• Prior experience developing software in an Agile framework
• Prior safety critical software development experience
• Knowledge of regulatory standards such as DO178B
• Outstanding cross discipline communication skills
• Familiarity with jet engine control and diagnostic system architectures and control logic design
