Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, seven days a week
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience, plus bonus

Position Summary
NextCare is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in Temple, Texas.
This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.

You will be supported by experienced clinical teams, strong peer relationships, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership for real-time guidance and mentorship. The work is engaging and varied, serving patients of all ages with a broad range of generally low-acuity urgent care needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
- Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
- Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management, as applicable
- Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
- Code and bill services appropriately
- Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
- Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license
- FNP certification through ANCC or AANP for Nurse Practitioners
- NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants
- Active DEA license, or ability to obtain
- Ability to treat patients of all ages
- Active BLS certification
- EHR proficiency
- Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
- DOT certification required or willingness to obtain; fees covered
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
- Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound care
- Experience with initial x-ray interpretation before radiology over-read
