Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director for Enrollment Marketing and Communications, this position leads the strategy, execution, and continuous optimization of all marketing efforts that drive interest, applications, and enrollments for American University’s undergraduate enrollment efforts. Partnering closely with Admissions, Financial Aid, University Communications and Marketing, and AU’s academic units, the Director builds integrated, data-driven campaigns that position the AU brand, amplify its value proposition, and meet annual recruitment goals.
The Director of Enrollment marketing oversees the Assistant Director of Marketing in the creation of relevant marketing and communications content.
Essential Functions:

Campaign Leadership:
Develops multichannel marketing campaigns and communication content with the ultimate goal of generating undergraduate applications and enrollments.
This includes concepting and executing content for recruitment publications, presentations, outbound mass email communications, social media channels, and video production.
Office of Enrollment Website Management:
Oversees the undergraduate admissions and financial aid websites and related digital platforms. This includes ensuring all content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with the university’s branding and enrollment goals.
Campaign Planning and Tracking:
Create and maintain a system to track the timeline and progress of the above to ensure the Executive Director for Enrollment Marketing and Communications is apprised of the progress of these projects.
Campaign Analytics and Optimization:
Conduct analysis of relevant KPIs to determine the efficacy of the above efforts and propose changes in strategy and execution where needed.
Institutional Collaboration:
Works to ensure compliance with visual identity, continuity of style, and communication of the University’s brand and as outlined in the strategic plan.
Serve on cross-functional committees related to university web presence and communications.
Assists in on-campus recruitment events and other assignments as needed.

Full-time.
Exempt.
35 hours/week.
Salary Range:
$108,000 - $118,000 annually.
Required Education and Experience:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
8-10 years of relevant experience
