Summary:
The Clinical Trainer - Medical Science Liaison serves as a scientific/clinical expert to GeneDx’s Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team. The Clinical Trainer- Medical Science Liaison job is a hybrid position that may involve travel with a medical science liaison in their assigned territory and/or national conference attendance. The Clinical Trainer develops relationships with the MSL team and ensures MSL’s have the technical training and proficiency to answer client inquiries/objections. The Clinical Trainer will partner closely with the Medical Science Liaison Director to ensure field readiness for new MSLs, as well as ensuring ongoing training needs of the broader MSL team are met. The Clinical Trainer will ensure slide content is up to date and accurate, and develop new content as needed.
Rsponsibilities:
Develop and implement deep dive clinical training for new launches and clinical indication expansionsProvide ongoing clinical support and education on technical topics such as exome/genome analysis and interpretation
- Facilitate messaging alignment for clinical CX (CSL) and MSL teams for existing products and test retirement
- Support MSLs in identifying knowledge gaps in field conversations and developing training content to address gaps
- Teach relevant system navigation
- Develop slide deck content for MSLs to leverage with customers for new launches and indications (in partnership with other Strategic Commercial Support teammates)
- Ensure existing slide deck content is up to date, create standard slide decks for presentations, and teach to the slide deck content
- Develop new hire training curriculum for MSLs in partnership with sales enablement team
- Provide field support to ensure new hire MSL proficiency
- Support at national and regional conferences as needed
People Manager

Education, Experience, and Skills
- Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling, highly preferred
- 3+ years' experience in a clinical, academic, or industry role as a genetic counselor.
- 3+ years' experience in an MSL or similar role in industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willing to travel 25% of the time in assigned territories.
