Aladdin Client Business supports the investment process through the development, deployment and support of our enterprise investment management platform (Aladdin®), which is utilized by executives, portfolio management, risk management and operations teams.

Aladdin Client Engagement is part of the Aladdin Client Business and is responsible for maximizing the Aladdin product through engagement and education, and work closely with Aladdin clients to be their trusted consultant, problem solver and business partner – to take full advantage of Aladdin. This is a client facing role and the associate will be expected to build deep partnerships with the clients to build highly effective relationships to understand and solve problems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own relationships with client’s senior management (CTO, CIO, COO) to understand their business objectives and needs, and help them use Aladdin expertise to achieve their firm’s goals.

  • Understand the client’s business challenges and propose solutions leveraging Aladdin that drive value and adoption.

  • Ensure client feedback on product is communicated to the Product Managers and is tracked through successful development and deployment.

  • Partner with the client, as well as Aladdin Product Managers and the financial modelers to support client’s development needs

  • Assist clients in leveraging Aladdin to its fullest across the entire trade and portfolio lifecycle

  • Keep updated on regulatory and operational industry trends to help your clients stay ahead of changing times

  • Serve as a subject matter knowledge lead on multiple Aladdin workflows and processes

  • Help Client Engagement leads with harvesting and onboarding additional client business by coordinating across product and sales teams

  • Help clients adopt and learn Aladdin’s regulatory reporting

  • Work requires the application of technical skills and a strong understanding of our technology applications that make up Aladdin.

  • Work with clients to prioritize strategic and tactical projects and discuss our strategic operational product development plans

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of work experience in financial services or consulting

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Economics, Accounting, Finance is preferred

  • Familiarity with buy-side investment management or middle-office workflows

  • Working understanding of equity, fixed income and derivative markets and their operational workflows. Knowledge of alternative investments and their lifecycle is a plus

  • Outstanding communication and the ability to present complex concepts simply and clearly to varying audiences

  • Must have past demonstration of strong project management and leadership skills, and the ability to deliver large complex projects

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with SQL, UNIX, VBA , C++, PERL or similar tools, and/or Aladdin

  • CFA, FRM, CIMA, or CAIA certification


 

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $140,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
