The opportunity

 The Senior Manager of Payer Contracting Analytics is responsible for leading the analytical strategy that supports the financial evaluation, contract development and performance monitoring across commercial and government payer channels for assigned Regional Payers and Medicaid accounts. This individual plays a critical role in translating complex data into actionable insights that inform negotiations and pricing strategies for assigned accounts. The role requires strong collaboration with Account Management, Contract Development, Payer Marketing, Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and compliance in line with Teva's business objectives. This position will support Teva’s Branded and Biosimilar portfolio.

 

Location: This is a hybrid opportunity that can be based out of our Parsippany, NJ or West Chester, PA offices. 

How you’ll spend your day

  • Lead the development and evaluation of pre and post-deal financial models, systems and scenario analyses to evaluate rebate structures, contract performance and deal profitability 
  • Evaluate and quantify the financial impact of payer formulary positioning and controls on agreements, including traditional, innovative and value-based contracts from all stakeholders’ perspectives 
  • Develop and refine Deal Model Framework capturing inputs and appropriate analogues to inform modeling assumptions
  • Support bid strategy with data-driven informed recommendations during payer negotiations  
  • Oversee post-deal performance tracking, measuring contract effectiveness and ROI 
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities from payer data and recommend appropriate actions 
  • Collaborate with Finance, Data Analytics and IT to ensure data integrity and accessibility across claims, utilization, rebate, and contract systems 
  • Build dashboards, KPIs, and executive reports to support ongoing business reviews and account level strategy development 
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Account Management, Payer Contracting, Payer Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Compliance by delivering analytics that shape payer engagement and agreements 
  • Support the evaluation of innovative access models, including outcomes-based contracts and risk-sharing arrangements 
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, government pricing rules (e.g., Medicaid Best Price), and data privacy requirements in analytics and modeling

Your experience and qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.  

 

Education/Certification/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, Public Health, or related field (MBA, MPH, or advanced degree preferred) 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare analytics, payer contracting, finance or pharmaceutical pricing and access 
  • Deep experience working with and modeling contracting opportunities with Regional and Medicaid accounts 
  • Strong understanding of commercial and governments payer landscapes, rebate economics, and government pricing implications 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, translate and present complex financial models and contract scenarios into concise and easily understandable terms 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). 
  • Experience with managed markets data sources such as customer portal, claims, rebate submissions and IQVIA 

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: 

  • Understanding of Pharmacy and Medical Benefits, including Government Pricing (Best Price, ASP, AMP, URA, for example) 
  • Experience with pharmaceutical contracting systems and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools
