<p><b><u>Job Family</u>:</b></p>Nurse<p><br/><b><u>Travel Required</u>:</b></p>None<p><br/><b><u>Clearance Required</u>:</b></p>Ability to Obtain Public Trust<p></p><p></p><p><b><u>What You Will Do</u>:</b><br/><span></span><span><span></span><span><span>We are currently searching for<span> </span></span><span>a</span><span><span> </span>skilled</span><span><span> </span>Registered Nurse</span><span><span> </span>with clinical research experience</span><span><span> </span>to fill a<span> </span><b><span>Research Nurse</span><span><span> </span></span><span>Specialist</span></b><span> </span>position</span><span><span> </span></span><span>that will</span><span><span> </span></span><span>meet</span><span><span> </span>the overall<span> </span></span><span>operational</span><span> </span><span>objectives</span><span> of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) through the provision of research support services</span><span>.</span><span> <span> </span></span><span>The<span> </span></span><span>Research Nurse Specialist will</span><span><span> </span>function within a team of clinical providers and research support staff to support the coordination and execution of NHLBI</span><span>’s</span><span> research protocols</span><span><span> </span></span><span>and</span><span><span> </span></span><span>clinical trials</span><span><span> </span>within<span> </span></span><span>the specialty areas of<span> </span></span><span>hematology</span><span>-oncology</span><span>, cardiology, pulmonary, sickle cell disease, vascular medicine, and cellular therapy</span><span>.</span><span> <span> </span></span><span>This is a full-time opportunity<span> </span></span><span>located</span><span><span> </span>in Bethesda, MD.<span> </span></span><span> </span></p><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Work with a diverse clinical research team including physicians, advanced practice providers, patient care coordinators, protocol navigators, and data managers to support the coordination of<span> </span></span><span>clinical</span><span><span> </span>research studies</span><span>. </span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Coordinate clinical research activities to meet the<span> </span></span><span>study<span> </span></span><span>protocol requirements and manage the research participant’s experience throughout the life cycle of a study. </span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Counsel and<span> </span></span><span>educate</span><span> patients </span><span>participating</span><span> in research studies, including following up with patients in long-term studies. </span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Facilitate patient recruitment and enrollment into ongoing research studies. </span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Support compliance with protocol regulatory requirements. </span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Manage clinical research data and support data quality assurance.</span></span></p></li></ul></div><p></p><p><b><u>What You Will Need</u>:</b></p><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Bachelor</span><span>’</span><span>s<span> </span></span><span>degree<span> </span></span><span>in nursing</span><span><span> </span>or related field</span><span><span> </span>with at<span> </span></span><span>least<span> </span></span><span>2</span><span><span> </span></span><span>years of nursing experience</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Active, current license as a Registered Nurse in the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Minimal TWO (2) years of experience<span> </span></span><span>in<span> </span></span><span>a research</span><span><span> </span>setting</span><span>,<span> </span></span><span>includin</span><span>g<span> </span></span><span>clinical</span><span><span> </span>research<span> </span></span><span>coordination</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><ul><li><p>Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD “public trust”; candidates must receive approved adjudication prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
