Job Description:

Cook-Full-Time​

Essential Duties:

• Communicates and coordinates daily with Food Service Supervisor/ Manager on strategies to accomplish production and maintain quality standards.
• Cooks and prepares various entrees, vegetables, sandwiches, and other menu items using standardized recipes.
• Offers and serves correct portions to comply with patient diets.
• Assists in the cooking, preparation and service of food for special events when required.
• Checks foods for taste and temperature.
• Replenishes food items as needed.
• Prepares needed foods for next day’s production.

• Train and orient new staff in work area.
• Assist in the cross training of employees
• Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Three to six months related experience and or training preferred
• Food handler card or SERV safe certificate preferred
