This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact across an agency that serves every citizen and locality in the Commonwealth. You'll work directly with business leaders to modernize operations, automate manual processes, improve collaboration, and help shape the agency's technology roadmap.

If you enjoy solving business problems with Microsoft technologies and want to grow an enterprise Microsoft 365 environment rather than simply support one, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do: Typical projects include:

Design and build Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) to replace manual spreadsheets and paper processes.

Designing automated workflows using Power Automate.

Developing executive dashboards and analytics using Power BI.

Administering SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.

Modernizing the agency's intranet.

Integrating solutions with various platforms and services

Supporting implementation of a next-generation public website and enterprise CMS.

Implementing Microsoft 365 governance and security best practices.

Advising business leaders on innovative ways to leverage Microsoft technologies.

Why the Treasury?
The Virginia Department of the Treasury is investing in the modernization of its digital workplace and business systems. This position offers the opportunity to influence technology decisions, collaborate across the agency, and deliver solutions that improve services for citizens, local governments, state agencies, and Treasury employees.

You'll join a collaborative IT team where innovation, customer service, continuous learning, and practical problem-solving are valued.

What Success Looks Like: In your first year, you'll help:

Expand the agency's use of Microsoft Power Platform.

Improve collaboration through Microsoft 365.

Modernize the agency's intranet and support the next generation of its public website.

Streamline business processes through automation.

Establish governance and best practices for Microsoft's collaboration ecosystem.

Deliver solutions that provide measurable value to Treasury employees and customers.

Collaborate with IT team members to maintain and enhance agency applications and services.
