Role Summary

As an Associate in Alternatives Data & Strategy, you will play a key role in managing and enhancing the firm’s Alternatives (Alts) data ecosystem. You will lead data initiatives related to private investments, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility across platforms and teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a data-driven environment and is passionate about improving business outcomes through analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Alts Data Initiatives: Project manage data integration efforts with GLASFunds and other third-party providers to streamline and enhance Alternatives data flows.
  • Maintain Alts Dashboards: Track and report on commitments and NAVs across Alternative Investments platforms and funds.
  • Ensure Data Quality: Conduct regular audits and collaborate with local offices to validate and improve the accuracy and completeness of Alternatives data.
  • Support Integrations: Assist in the design and implementation of new data integrations to support the evolving needs of the Alternatives platform.
  • Drive Reporting Excellence: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into Alternatives investments and performance.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with investment, operations, and technology teams to align data initiatives with business goals.
  • Document Data Standards: Maintain clear documentation of data sources, models, and pipelines related to Alternatives reporting.

Technical Skillset Requirements

  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, DBT, Python, Tableau, and Excel
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data, especially in financial services or investment contexts
  • Ability to manage end-to-end analytics projects, from requirements gathering to delivery
  • Strong data visualization and storytelling skills to support decision-making
  • Experience working with disparate data sources and ensuring data integrity
  • Preferred: Experience with investment data, especially Alternatives (e.g., private equity, hedge funds, real assets)
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Databricks, Salesforce, Addepar, and/or iCapital platforms

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science).
  • 1–3+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or investment operations roles, with a preference in Wealth or Asset Management.

This position is exempt and is paid according to the laws of the State of New York. The pay range for this position is $90,000-120,000 per year. We are required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
