Job Description

This position is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of long-term supply chain strategies to optimize cost, quality, agility, and risk resilience across the end-to-end supply chain. This role aligns supply chain initiatives with corporate goals, driving transformation programs, and leading cross-functional efforts to improve planning, sourcing, logistics, and manufacturing performance. The role uses their deep analytical expertise, strategic vision, and a strong business acumen to identify opportunities and implement best-in-class practices.


 

Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a multi-year supply chain strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Identify macroeconomic, geopolitical, and industry trends affecting supply chain operations and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Lead strategic projects including digital transformation, capacity growth, multiple sourcing, or make-buy evaluations.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Business Development, Government Relations, and IT to drive integrated planning and execution.
  • Facilitate executive decision-making through scenario modeling, cost/benefit analyses, and risk assessments.
  • Partner with business and strategic development organizations to support new business capture and supply base investment.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, IoT, or blockchain in supply chain applications.
  • Partner with IT and data teams to improve visibility, analytics, and digital maturity.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
  • Create executive dashboards and reports that communicate progress toward strategic goals.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of supply chain analysts or project managers.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Typically, fifteen years of general work experience with ten plus years of experience in supply chain management, consulting, or strategic planning roles.
  • Experience in developing or managing technology or industrial supply base growth through joint investment, teaming or other business strategies.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex global projects.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.

Compensation

As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.).  Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them.  Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions.  Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.
