GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the direction and supervision of the Sr. Executive Director of Human Resources, the Manager is responsible for performing comprehensive administrative services for the Human Resources department, and committees, as assigned. Keeps Executive Director informed of activities, project progress, problems and needs in the Human Resource Department. Maintains confidentially of Human Resource information. Cooperates with hospital staff to achieve goals and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental relations, and public relations. Attends meetings as required including in-service meetings and committee meetings. The Human Resource Manager strives to remain current in the field of Human Resource Management, as directed by the Sr. Executive Director of Human Resources.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all hospital personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares, updates, and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
2. Maintains Human Resources files such as, correspondence, reports, and employee information. Keep employee information confidential and protected.
3. Supervise the completion of required forms for the ACA reporting each year. Including the 1095-C form for all eligible employees and 1094-C form for the IRS.
4. Submits annual EEOC reporting.
5. Complete the onboarding process for non-employees, students of approved contracted schools and contracted personnel. This includes maintaining yearly spreadsheets and folders for the Students and Contracted Employees.
6. Responsible for ordering yearly Service Awards and gifts and contacting employees that are eligible.
7. Schedule and supervise the yearly Mandatory Volunteer Education for all volunteers of the hospital.
8. Maintain and update current forms for the Human Resource department as well as creating new ones as needed.
9. Audit the IDPH website to verify employees still employed at GAHHS quarterly for new hires and yearly for all qualified employees.
10. Keep hospital Internet Benefit Tab updated with current benefit information.
11. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
12. Fluid correspondence with customers.
13. Organizes work schedule according to daily and non-daily responsibilities and duties.
14. Performs benefits administration including change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employees explaining and obtaining signatures for benefit programs. Continue to assist employees when questions or issues arise concerning their benefits.
15. Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
16. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
17. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
18. Responsible for supervising the Human Resources clerical staff.
19. Performs other duties as directed by the Sr. Executive Director of Human Resources.
20. Administers unemployment and disability claims.
21. Audit benefit statements as needed.
22. Collaborate with the Sr. Executive Director of Human Resources to learn the requirements of the role of the Manager of HR.
Qualifications
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Work requires the ability to lift and carry files.
2. Physical strength to perform the following lifting tasks:
• Floor to waist - 20 pounds
• 14” to waist - 30 pounds
• Waist to shoulder - 20 pounds
• Shoulder to overhead - 10 pounds
• Carry 30 pounds 30 feet
• Push 10 pounds/force 15 feet
• Pull 10 pounds/force 15 feet
3. Work requires ability to sit for long periods of time. (2-3- hours)
4. Work requires communication abilities necessary to gather and exchange information with employees on a daily basis.
5. Excellent telephone and public relations skills required, often under pressure.
6. Visual acuity to proof-read and check documents for accuracy daily.
7. Ability to use a computer to input and print data.
