Help shape the metadata systems that power Telia Play!</p><p></p><p><b>What you’ll do</b></p><p>As a Developer in Team Enrichment &amp; API, you’ll work at the core of our metadata ecosystem. Our mission is to aggregate, normalize, enrich, and deliver metadata from a wide range of providers efficiently, accurately, and reliably. This metadata acts as a critical data layer that supports content discovery, playback, recommendations, and catalog navigation across the Telia TV platform.</p><p></p><p><b>You will:</b></p><p>· Design and build backend services that process and enrich metadata in near real-time</p><p>· Model and maintain metadata structures that ensure consistency and completeness</p><p>· Create APIs and event-driven systems to support metadata distribution across teams</p><p>· Optimize performance and correctness in a high-throughput, low-latency pipeline</p><p>· Collaborate with backend developers, data specialists, and other teams to innovate across the entire metadata lifecycle, from ingestion and modeling to enrichment and delivery</p><p></p><p>Our typical tech choices include Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot, deployed in AWS. We use SNS, SQS, and Kinesis for event-driven and message-based communication. Data is stored in PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, depending on access needs. Infrastructure is defined using Terraform, and we maintain a cloud-native workflow with CI/CD pipelines in GitHub along with strong observability practices, including metrics and dashboards in Grafana.</p><p></p><p><b>Who you are</b></p><p>You’re a backend engineer who enjoys building scalable systems, understands the importance of data quality, and thrives in collaborative environments. You take ownership and think beyond code to improve systems as a whole.</p><p>We’re looking for someone with:</p><p>· 5+ years of professional experience in Java/Kotlin and backend development</p><p>· Strong understanding of microservices architecture</p><p>· Hands-on experience with cloud-native services (preferably AWS), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform)</p><p>· Proficiency in designing and maintaining data processing pipelines, APIs, and system integrations</p><p>· A proactive mindset and focus on improving systems rather than simply delivering features</p><p>· Fluency in English and strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration</p><p>· Awareness of secure software development practices (SSDLC) and commitment to quality assurance</p><p>· Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot</p><p>· Bonus: hands-on experience with AI/ML including prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, and deploying models into production systems.</p><p></p><p><b>Why join us?</b></p><p>We are a core team within the Telia TV platform, and our systems are foundational to every customer-facing feature.
