SUMMARY
As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the quality assurance efforts within the manufacturing facility. Your primary goal will be to ensure that products and services meet the highest quality standards and satisfy customer requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement quality processes, develop testing strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Quality Assurance Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive quality assurance strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. Define quality metrics, establish quality goals, and implement processes to track and measure quality performance.
· Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of quality analysts. Provide guidance and support to team members, assign tasks, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and services.
· Test Planning and Execution: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Coordinate and oversee the execution of test activities, ensuring adequate coverage and adherence to established testing standards.
· Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the quality assurance processes and methodologies. Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement, and implement solutions to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
· Risk Management: Identify potential quality risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. Conduct risk assessments, prioritize risks based on impact and likelihood, and implement preventive and corrective actions to minimize risks.
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to understand requirements, resolve issues, and drive quality initiatives throughout the software development lifecycle.
· Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality assurance activities, test plans, test cases, and test results. Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to stakeholders, highlighting areas of concern, improvement, and overall quality status.
· Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by fostering innovation, encouraging best practices, and implementing quality-focused initiatives. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in quality assurance practices.
· People Management: Responsible for Quality team, workforce planning in close collaboration with Human Resources, Performance Management, Corrective and Disciplinary action.
Education, Requirements, Competencies
· Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
· Strong Technical Skills: Proficiency in quality assurance methodologies, software testing techniques, and test management tools. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and automation frameworks is highly desirable.
· Leadership Abilities: Proven experience in leading and managing a team of quality engineers. Excellent communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills. Ability to motivate and inspire team members towards achieving common quality goals.
· Quality Mindset: Deep understanding of quality principles, industry standards, and best practices. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products and services.
· Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
