 The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is the agency charged with licensing and regulating State of Florida businesses and professionals, such as cosmetologists, veterinarians, condominiums, hotels, and restaurants. Our mission is to license efficiently and regulate fairly, and we strive to meet this goal in our day-to-day operations.

 

The Work You Will Do:

 This position is located in the Tallahassee office of the Florida Division of Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes, reporting to the Director. It is responsible for tasks related to rule functions, tracking high-volume inquiries, special projects, and more.

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and coordinates the adoption of all Division administrative rules and forms; 
  • Serves as liaison with the Bureaus, Office of the General Counsel, Joint Administrative Procedures Committee, and Bureau of Administrative Code.  Provides legal notice of all public meetings.  Publishes timely meeting notices in the Florida Administrative Weekly; 
  • Leads the Division’s Annual Regulatory Plan as well as any other rule-related functions for and on behalf of the Division;
  • Responsible for preparing, overseeing, and tracking a high volume of transmittal inquiries, responding on behalf of the Division, or preparing replies for the signature of the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and/or the Division Director.
  • Provides customer service for constituent inquiries, both written and telephone inquiries, from the general public, licensees, and other interested parties, including escalations;
  • Works closely with the Deputy Director on special projects as needed. Assists in preparing annual reports and other documents and reports as needed by the deputy director and updates policies and procedures.
