The Director IT Systems Infrastructure oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's complex IT systems infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on cloud computing and platform support. Responsible for the physical operation, security and performance of data centers, cloud, servers and other technology platforms shared across the organization. This role requires strategic leadership to ensure the infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable to meet the company's operational needs.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure Reliability and Security

• Objective: Ensure the overall performance, reliability and security of the company's technology infrastructure.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee compliance with SLAs, process maturation, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.
  • Manage hardware/software and platform services, ensuring optimal customer experience across a dispersed infrastructure.
  • Oversee outsourcing contracts and 3rd party agreements, ensuring service levels and performance targets are met.
  • Analyze new technologies and conduct competitive analyses to enhance infrastructure services.

Strategic Leadership and Project Management

• Objective: Provide strategic and tactical leadership to the IT Systems Infrastructure team and manage projects effectively.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive IT strategy in alignment with business goals as part of the IT Management team.
  • Manage the time, scope, and budget of systems infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and manage departmental capital and operating budgets.
  • Dispense technical advice, guidance, and direction for infrastructure projects.

Team Development and Performance Management

• Objective: Establish and maintain a high-performance team through effective training, performance management, and career development.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee information systems personnel administration, including selection, training, and development.
  • Recognize and reward employee contributions and achievements.
  • Coordinate the design, integration, and maintenance of infrastructure projects and services.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

• Bachelors or Master’s Degree required (or equivalent work experience with demonstrated ability).
• Minimum 10-15 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 5 years’ experience managing medium to large cross-functional teams or projects required.
• Multi-site, enterprise level IT experience required

Technical Expertise and Operations

• Objective: Leverage expert-level experience in IT systems infrastructure engineering, security, and operations.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply technical knowledge from various resources to ensure robust infrastructure.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional decorum in all situations.
  • Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
