Purpose

  • Lead the area of regional financial and profitability analysis and planning. 
  • Provide Management with data to be utilized in making well-informed decisions. 
  • Prepare and interpret financial reports and financial plans.
  • Interpret and communicate competitive actions and impact.
  • Act as a financial advisor to region to help them understand areas needing improvement.

Major Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze and present financial reports reflecting actual performance against budgets on a monthly basis. Prepare presentation material for Executive meetings.
  • Lead the development of annual profitability targets while coordinating the appropriate cross-functional team for input.
  • Develop methodologies to analyze regional profitability by sales type (cash, lease, APR) at the region, district and dealer levels.
  • Collaborate with the Governance team to prepare material (reports/presentations) with actionable insights and recommendations for on-going projects.
  • Analyze, Review and provide guidance on regional variable marketing funds: Advertising, Incentives and Market Support Programs.
  • Work closely with all Advertising, Corporate Planning, Incentives and Sales Planning departments to reconcile program effectiveness and to optimize regional profitability.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

  • Thoroughly understand and communicate various market indices and data.
  • Prepare written and verbal communication with departments on regional actions.
  • Lead and coordinate the creation and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and other data visualization tools to communicate regional data effectively.
  • Assist in the coordination of the annual company budget, with a primary focus on regional profitability.
  • Review/approve/reject budget transfers, purchase requests & check requests for all the regions.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses as required.
  • Potentially develop monthly and annual regional financial forecasts.
  • Effectively coach, counsel, and develop staff.

Education

~ Must be a high school graduate~Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance~ MBA is a plus

Related Experience

  • Eight or more years of relevant financial planning experience.
  • Large, multinational organization experience preferred.
  • Automotive experience strongly desired.
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience is preferred.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Strong personal computer skills, i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
  • Proven efficiency leveraging data from various systems for analysis and reporting (including AS/400, ISeries, QMF, SAP, Altyrex, MicroStrategy, Tableau and SQL analytics).
