Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Global Supply Chain (GSC) Sourcing Manager 3 to join its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) Program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure. The GSC Sourcing Manager 3 for the SDS Division reports to the DS SDS Division Lead for GSC and is responsible for defining and executing the end‑to‑end sourcing strategy for a rapidly growing defense portfolio (approximately $1 B in material sales).  The role will be involved in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, and Supplier Agreement functions, developing category‑based roadmaps and agreement strategies that secure high‑value contracts while ensuring a resilient, compliant, and cost‑effective supply base for mission‑critical programs. Partnering closely with program managers, engineering, finance, legal, and senior leadership, the Manager aligns sourcing initiatives with business growth targets, risk‑mitigation objectives, and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Execution

  • Develop relationships and manage engagement strategy with capture and business development teams to ensure a robust sourcing strategy for every program.

  • Support the end‑to‑end sourcing process for high‑value contracts – from requirement definition to supplier selection, negotiation, and award.

  • Implement Strategic Sourcing tools (e.g., spend analytics, e‑sourcing platforms, capacity and capability analysis and visibility) to increase performance, efficiency and transparency.

  • Ensure compliance with DFARS, ITAR, FAR, and other defense regulations throughout the sourcing lifecycle.

Category Management & Strategy

  • Develop, maintain, and support a sector strategy to deploy a global category architecture for division wide common materials and services.

  • Lead category roadmaps (demand forecasting, market intelligence, technology trends) and communicate updates.

  • Conduct spend analysis and identify consolidation, rationalization, and innovation opportunities to drive cost savings and performance improvements.

Agreements

  • Lead domestic and international agreement strategy and plan across sector and supporting divisions

  • Develop and lead team negotiating long‑term agreements, IDIQ contracts, and joint‑venture arrangements, targeting a minimum of 10% annual cost reduction and improved terms and conditions to drive improved supplier performance.

Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Program Management to align sourcing decisions with manufacturing schedules and program budgets.

  • Lead for SDS GSC the Make/Buy/Where strategy and plan, collaborating cross functionally to balance maximizing factory utilization (aligned to tech roadmaps and internal core manufacturing and integration competencies) with external capability and availability to maximize meeting business performance.   

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage performance through KPIs and scorecards (cost savings, supplier performance, compliance, lead‑time) and present results for regular engagements
