About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the RightStuf team in Grimes, Iowa. As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with the Accounting Manager to streamline accounting processes and align RightStuf monthly close to Crunchyroll’s cadence. You will lead through example and mentorship while gaining an end-to-end knowledge of all roles and responsibilities within the RightStuf accounting team. You will be pivotal in integrating and scaling Crunchyroll’s e-commerce goals to help us reach 25m users by 2025. 

• Provide ownership and/or oversight over the following areas of accounting including: expense, accruals, prepaid expense, fixed asset ledger, cash transactions, and intercompany reporting
• Prepare or review journal entries as part of monthly close reviews
• Assist in the review and reconciliation of Accounts Payable and Receivable 
• Coordinate with Sony in regards to state and local tax filings, research and resolve discrepancies and tax notices·       
• Ensure execution of appropriate accounting treatment on complex accounting issues in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS
• This role reports to the Accounting Manager in our Grimes, IA office

Please note: this is a fully onsite role with an expectation of 40 hrs/wk in the office. 

About You

• 5+ years of Accounting experience distribution or manufacturing industry preferred.
• Advanced skills with Excel applications (PIVOTs, SUMIFs, VLOOKUPs, macros)
• Accounting ERP experience (preferably Netsuite)
• You demonstrate strong strategic, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• You are driven; you are able to balance multiple priorities with good interpersonal skills and build relationships across all levels of the organization
• You are self-motivated and resourceful while displaying a high attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to direct and supervise projects at varying levels of impact across the business
• Results-driven individual with a team-oriented mindset

The RightStuf team joined Crunchyroll via acquisition in 2022. RightStuf has been a leader in Anime publishing and distribution since it got its start in 1987. Since then, RightStuf expanded their presence to provide the best e-commerce experience for Anime fans across the globe. When evaluating how we could best serve our passionate fans, it was clear that RightStuf would allow us to meet our goal of 25 million users by 2025.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
