Due to Federal contract requirements, US citizenship is required for this position.
The Day-to-Day:As a Software Engineer you will lead the design and development of scalable and reliable software systems for production, enterprise-level applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards. You'll collaborate with the MLOps team to integrate machine learning model serving and inference platforms and pipelines into production systems; help lead the overall development team, work with customers, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement; architect and implement solutions that enable the coexistence of traditional enterprise systems and machine learning components, optimizing for performance and stability.
Description: As a Consultant in the developer role you will develop automation scripts and orchestration workflows to simplify and accelerate deployment and maintenance processes and optimize system performance and scalability to meet the demands of large-scale enterprise applications and machine learning workload; you'll also implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations for both enterprise systems and machine learning components; and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of system architecture and best practices.

Basic Qualiifcations:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance w/ polygraph required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) as a Software Development Engineer, with a strong focus on enterprise systems
  • Expertise in programming Python
  • Expert in developing tests, including unit, integration, and local integration (e.g., through Docker Compose)
  • Advanced experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy.
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and the AWS cloud platform.
  • Strong experience in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and code review workflows.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to lead complex technical initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Solutions Architect Associate credential or other Associate (In Progress acceptable)

Preferred Qualifications (desired not required):

  • Certification in machine learning operations or related fields is a plus.
  • Some experience with MLOps platforms, especially NVIDIA’s Triton Inference Server
  • Understanding of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and MLOps tools.
  • Knowledge of data engineering concepts and ETL processes.
