Job Summary
Responsibilities
Pick up used glassware, plasticware, and assorted utensils from laboratory.
Clean items by hand and using mechanical dishwashers.
Dry appropriate items (plasticware) in dryer.
Autoclave selected items as requested by research staff.
Return clean items to proper storage areas.
Check for proper operation of washers, autoclaves, and dryers; notify appropriate staff of problems.
Install liquid dishwashing detergent (5-gallon containers) as needed.
Maintain log of users on autoclaves.
Replace printout tapes as needed for autoclaves and dishwashers
This job provides technical and administrative support in a laboratory environment performing basic laboratory techniques, research and analysis under direction.
Complies with institution, state and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives, and mandates.
Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field (not typically required to have a four-year degree).
