Registered Nurse - Oral Surgery RN

Koslin & Kahn Oral and Facial Surgery is seeking a skilled and committed Registered Nurse to join our team and assist us in delivering exceptional care to our patients. The ideal candidate for the Registered Nurse position should possess a natural inclination towards providing compassionate care.

 
This RN position does involve occasional travel to one of four locations in Hoover, Alabaster, Jasper, and Clanton (travel time is paid). 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management and uses acquired knowledge, theory, research, and experience to respond to changes in clinical situations.
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures, local and IV sedation, according to physician orders.
• Evaluate patient’s preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative status at intervals according to facility policies and procedures.
• Employ strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
• Perform office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer.
• Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.

Requirements

• 1 year minimum of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute or critical care environment including but not limited to Med-Surg, ICU, or Surgery setting. 
• Active, Unencumbered Alabama Registered Nurse license required. 
• Associates Degree with experience or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• Excellent IV skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Consistently professional appearance and attitude. 
• Must be detail oriented, punctual, and patient care focused.
• Motivated to grow and learn new things.
• Ability to cross train and perform front office function.
