Job Description
Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies Warfare Systems partners with the DoD and defense innovation ecosystem to rapidly acquire and field critical and emerging technologies, particularly integrated communications, networking, and Systems-of-Systems (SoS) technologies, to enhance national security and warfighter capabilities. Through a multiagency contracting approach, the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative focuses on advancing these technologies to achieve multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. This includes a broad range of services such as systems engineering, cybersecurity, operational integration, and data analytics, all aimed at modernizing communications and ensuring seamless information exchange for the DoD and its allies.
This role is part of a pending contract proposal. We are actively interviewing to identify qualified candidates in anticipation of a successful award.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Supports full spectrum, multi-domain, CO capability development to include OCO and DCO, DIB, and DODIN.
- Provides specialized skills used in identifying, mitigating, and responding to cyber security threats across traditional and Cloud environments.
- Develops, implements, and manages security measures, adhering to RMF protocols and leveraging Zero Trust principles to ensure comprehensive protection.
- Conducts penetration testing to identify potential threats. Configures and manages Cloud-based systems, applying best practices to secure data and infrastructure.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to address vulnerabilities and adapt countermeasures for dynamic threat landscapes.
- Designs and evaluates security controls, integrating Zero Trust architecture to strengthen defenses against unauthorized access.
- Conducts system assessments to ensure compliance with RMF, CSF, and security policies, preparing documentation for audits and accreditation.
- Delivers tailored solutions for Cloud-based operations, ensuring scalability and security.
- Provides end-user guidance and support to facilitate secure system operations.
- Researches emerging threats and identifies areas for process optimization, advancing cybersecurity practices. Collaborates with Cybersecurity Analysts and Cybersecurity Engineers.
Minimum Qualifications
- 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance at the time of application
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively
- Capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of contributing to successful team outcomes
