About the role:
Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), this role will play a key part in driving financial visibility and strategic decision-making at BlueWave. You’ll support financial planning, analysis, and reporting across multiple functional areas, partnering with stakeholders to ensure alignment of financial goals. Your work will help provide the insights needed to accelerate the growth of distributed generation solar and storage projects while maintaining financial discipline.
What you'll do:
- Support the Financial Budgeting, Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting process, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews.
- Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets that guide business units and executive leadership in decision-making.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and KPIs, providing actionable insights that inform strategy.
- Prepare and deliver clear, data-driven financial reports, presentations, and dashboards to senior management and department heads.
- Perform variance analysis of actual results vs. budget/forecast, investigating discrepancies and delivering clear explanations.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across BlueWave to gather data, share financial guidance, and ensure alignment of resources with company goals.
- Support monthly management reporting and cash forecasting processes.
- Take part in ad-hoc financial projects and analysis to support BlueWave’s evolution as an Independent Power Producer (IPP).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2-3 years of relevant financial analysis experience.
- Collaborative, hands-on work ethic with the adaptability to succeed in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Strong ability to consolidate data and assumptions from multiple business units into meaningful insights.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail.
- Strong technical skills, including Excel proficiency; experience with NetSuite, Power BI, and Procore is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with speed and accuracy.
- Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
The anticipated salary range for this role is $85,000 - $100,000 per year + bonus.
Compensation will be influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, job-related knowledge, skills, education, certifications, and relevant experience as outlined in the job description above.
