About the role
Model N is hiring a Sr. People Technology Analyst. Reporting to the Director, People Technology, this position will be the primary support role for Workday, a functional expert with deep knowledge of current functionality, and design concepts with an emphasis on Workday Core HCM, Security, Absence, and Reporting. We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.This role will also be responsible for evaluating current functionality and providing recommendations for enhancements, while delivering on the needs for the People Team and broader business. It requires partnership and collaboration with the global People Team, Payroll, IT and other relevant teams across Model N to deliver an exceptional experience in Workday.

The base salary for this position will be $76,500 - $114,700.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing production support to the business regarding application functionality and data integrity, including identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of critical production issues, enhancements, and annual processes.
- Analyze business requirements, identify gaps, develop/create business requirement documents, and translate business requirements into effective and efficient functional design specifications and application configuration solutions.
- Educate and guide users on effective and efficient approaches to implementing new features and provide technical guidance for testing/adoption of new features and functionality.
- Primary ownership of security configuration, assignment, and maintenance.
- Conduct internal data and security audits and participate in internal audit reviews.
- Collaborate with Director, People Technology and business partners to identify system improvements enhancements while recommending and implementing viable solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and Workday support partners. Coordinate with other teams as needed for the successful execution of projects.
- Manage daily Workday system operation, business process configuration and production support for Model N. Responsible for managing the effects of planned system enhancements on current business processes within the system
- Establish robust reporting including dashboards, delivered analytics, and requested reports. Deliver on quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting requirements.
- Responsible for driving project plan and managing project progress to ensure deadlines are met by both the internal and external implementation team and adapt work as needed
- Stay abreast of HR technology and Workday best practices and evolving technologies to maintain expertise and make recommendations for enhancements. Maintain technical and industry trend knowledge by participating in the Workday Community and other forums.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience supporting Workday, with emphasis in Core HCM, Security, Absence and Reporting. Workday Learning experience a plus
- Cross-functional project management experience and organizational skills, with outstanding attention to detail and comfort prioritizing and problem-solving in a rapidly changing, fast-moving environment
- Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills), with flexibility across multiple data sources and systems
- Experience working in a high-tech or high-growth environment is preferred.
- Highly developed troubleshooting skills; tenacity and hunger for finding the root cause of a problem.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills that inspire and build trust for effective working relationships across the company. Proven ability to operate successfully in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Functional Experience with Workday Integrations related to applications such as Equity, Benefits, Payroll & other external vendor applications a plus
