About the role
Strategic Planner<p><b>Key Role: </b></p><p>Support the stand-up and achievement of Full Operational Capability <span>(</span>FOC<span>)</span> for a new Space Component Command, translating strategic guidance from the Commanding General, the United States Space Force <span>(</span>USSF<span>)</span>, USEUCOM, and USAFRICOM into actionable plans and initiatives that enable the component to effectively execute its mission. Assist in the development and refinement of the component's internal strategy, ensuring alignment with USSF priorities and the operational requirements of USEUCOM and USAFRICOM. Develop, lead, and manage multiple detailed project plans, timelines, and resource requirements <span>related</span> to the component's long-term strategy and FOC achievement. Analyze Political, Military, Economic, So<span>cia</span>l Information, and Infrastructure <span>(</span>PMESII<span>)</span> factors influencing military and political strategy, the planning and execution of military operations, and the impact of domestic and <span>foreign</span> <span>policy</span> on space domain integration within the AOR. Coordinate, support, and integrate space effects or capabilities into the development of Operational Plan <span>(</span>OPLANS<span>)</span>, Execution Order <span>(</span>EXORDS<span>)</span>, and crisis action planning orders documentation, as well as Operational Planning Team <span>(</span>OPT<span>)</span> membership and Concept Plan <span>(</span>CONPLAN<span>)</span> re-writes. Provide joint military decision-making process <span>(</span>JMDMP<span>)</span> planning and operations support for the development, planning, coordination, management, and execution of space operations to meet theater objectives.</p><p></p><p><b>Basic Qualifications: </b></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience in space operations, project management, or strategic planning</li><li>Experience in military planning at <span>the headquarters-level or</span> higher</li><li>Experience in the Joint Operation Planning Process <span>(</span>JOPP<span>)</span><span> or Military</span> Decision-Making Process <span>(</span>MDMP<span>)</span></li><li>Knowledge of national security <span>strategy and joint</span> military doctrine</li><li>Ability to develop and <span>analyze strategic,</span> operational, and campaign plans</li><li>Secret clearance</li><li>Bachelor’s degree</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Additional Qualifications: </b></p><ul><li>Experience in the EUCOM and AFRICOM area of operations</li><li>Experience using Micro<span>sof</span>t Office Suite and military-specific planning <span>sof</span>tware such as JOPES</li><li>Ability to present and effectively advocate component command equities at planning conferences and operational planning teams</li><li>Possession of <span>excellent verbal</span> and written <span>communication, presentation,</span> <span>and interpersonal</span> skills</li><li>TS<span>/</span>SCI clearance</li><li>Master’s degree in Military Science or International Affairs</li><li>Joint Planner Certification</li><li>Completion of a Service or Joint Intermediate, or Senior-level Professional Military Education</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Clearance: </b></p><p><span>Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information</span><span>;</span> <span>Secret clearance is required.</span></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Compensation</b></p><p>At Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
