Job Summary:
The Recreation Program Lead position is an integral part of the City of Greeley’s Recreation Division and is responsible for the on-site supervision and management of recreation facilities, services, programs, and events. The Recreation Program Lead will report to the Recreation Coordinator and serve as a main point of contact and staff member in charge in the absence of full-time professional staff, providing oversight and leadership to hourly staff and volunteers. Upon hire and undergoing all necessary training, the Recreation Program Lead is expected to work autonomously and exercise sound judgment, effectively serving all areas of the facility and/or program.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
Minimum Requirements
- One to three (1-3) years of recreation experience.
- Three years of customer service experience.
- Current Driver’s License including clean driving record
- Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire required.
Preferred
- One year of event planning and program development

- Knowledge of the business and organizational structure of Colorado municipalities.

- Plan and facilitate positive youth-centered recreation programs.
- Aids in the planning, oversight, and delivery of Greeley Recreation drop-in programming, special events, and other various services, supporting and leading other part-time staff including, but not limited to, Guest Service Representatives and Child Care Attendants.
