Job Description:
The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, dedicated to improving lives for 3.2 million Illinoisans, is seeking to hire a highly motivated, qualified individual to serve as the Bureau Chief in the Bureau of Managed Care. This position plans, develops and implements policies and procedures, develops long range plans for the bureau, directs the analysis of existing and proposed managed care plans and single State policies and procedures to determine potential immediate and long range consequences, oversees and coordinates managed care plans including but not limited to Medicare Medicaid Alignment Initiative (MMAI)s, Coordinated Care Entities (CCE)s, and Accountable Care Entities (ACE)s, confers with legislators, supervises a large staff and serves as agency spokesperson.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate their dedication to teamwork, the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, a strong supervisory background including experience managing a large staff, managing large scale operations, and the desire to promote and provide quality services on behalf of the State of Illinois.
