The Opportunity
Michelin is hiring! Michelin North America, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Security Manager who will represent the Corporate Anticipation, Prevention and Protection Division (DCAPP) covering all entities under the Region’s responsibility, including acquisitions. The Security Manager works to protect the company's assets, information, and personnel, ensuring a safe and secure environment across all corporate and manufacturing sites. The role is responsible for supporting the implementation and adherence to the group’s security policies and procedures.
As part or your mission, you will learn details of the business operations and will further apply investigative and security skills and experience to support the achievement of business goals while minimizing risk and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Success in this role requires dedication to excellence and tactful communication with all levels. This role is fast-paced and will require that you be able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and rapidly adjust some based upon dynamic and evolving needs. Travel within our North America footprint is required, at times with little or no notice.

What You Will Do:
Have knowledge of the risk assessment and security audit process to assist the Asset Protection Team to identify and mitigate potential threats. Deploy protection measures in the event of a security incident and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
Respond to and manage security incidents, primarily focused on conducting investigations of reported misconduct and preparing incident reports. Analyze and find opportunities to improve systems and processes in the organization.
Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and standards.
Partner with the Learning & Development organization to help with the identification and sharing of all training initiatives on security and risk management to include cyber security risks and threats.
Stay updated on the latest security technologies and trends to strengthen the company's security posture.
Educate our employees regarding ethical conduct and the expectations of Michelin in support of our Core Values.
Assist in the management of our external Ethics Reporting Hotline.
Work closely as a liaison with Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement entities.
Assess and supervise security for Regional events as needed.
Develop and manage executive protection operations for senior executive positions.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in security management, Criminal Justice, or related field.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a Public Law Enforcement Organization conducting advanced criminal investigations or Corporate Security Department.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) are preferred.
- Agility: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and prioritize technical and non-technical information logically and effectively.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle critical information and maintain a high level of confidentiality, while demonstrating professionalism in all aspects of the position.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with employees, management, and external agencies
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact and communicate in a professional manner with internal business teams, external partners and customers, including the ability to build relationships, use empathy to understand, resolve disputes tactfully, and to practice active listening skills.
