Administrative Director Support Services Intern Full Time Days

POSITION SUMMARY

Under direction, serves as a principal assistant to the Chief Operating Officer and exercises initiative in the administrative direction and coordination of major activities or functions within the organization. This position is also accountable for administrative oversight for Food and Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, and Contracts Administration. Responsibilities include organizing, developing, directing, and assuring the delivery of cost effective, quality patient care. Ensures that all services are performed in accordance with established corporate and hospital policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations, and JCAHO standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred in Hospital Health, Business Administration, or Finance/Accounting

Experience: Five (5) years management experience at the Director level.

Comply with corporate policy and procedures for managing supplies and equipment, promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers to maintain internal and external customer satisfaction, and appropriate resource management. Responsible for overall budgeting and maintaining appropriate staffing levels in the departments. Ensures survey readiness for departments as it relates to TJC, CMS, and AHJs. Prepares operating and capital budgets for submission to hospital administration.

Education:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience required
Preferred: MBA

Experience:

Required: 10 years progressive management experience with at least five years management experience in a hospital/healthcare setting.
