Position Highlights
Position Summary:
Health Informaticist has thorough knowledge of the electronic medical record (EMR) as it relates to relevant operations and serves as a dedicated resource to ensure best practices, system integrity, quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The Health Informaticist works collaboratively with the operational stakeholders, providers, and clinical users in conjunction with the Information Technology team to plan, develop, test, implement, evaluate, support, train on, and optimize the electronic medical record (EMR) and peripheral programs.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday (days) with some weekend, evening and night involvement.
Education/Experience:
Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
Graduate from approved nursing program is acceptable.
At least two years of clinical acute patient care experience required.
Bachelor's degree in nursing required or must be enrolled in bachelor's degree of nursing program within 1 year with completion with - in 2-5 years.
Knowledge of Epic EMR information system preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
Certification in area of specialty preferred.
Membership in professional organization preferred.
